“I have dreamed a dreadful dream”

…is my favorite folk song lyric after anything about the bones of a murdered girl ratting out her killer.

I’d put it on a t-shirt, but the one I’ve already got that says “angry bad-ass me from the future” is probably testament enough to the fact that no one “gets” me.

Speaking of folk, you can download a kind of emo-y vaguely choral cover of “Baby Got Back” here. Karaoking sociologists, I am thinking mainly of you.

damn. I went and listened to that song, and it was HI-LARIOUS. And then I sent my friend Sarah the link, because all her new friends out in L.A. ditched the Sir Mix-A-Lot version. She needed them to see the beauty of the song. And they say californians are hip. Lies.

That has to be one of the funniest things I’ve heard all week!

  3. Cabell says:

Somebody usually sings it at sociology karaoke, but more in the style of Sir Mix-a-Lot.
